Pros

Great team and strong culture. Powerful industry changing concept. I come to work every day excited for the future of this company. Every person who works here believes in the business, does their part to continue to make it grow, and are extremely talented and natural entrepreneurs. Very team oriented, and a healthy work-hard, play-hard environment. Team happy hours and flight privileges don't hurt either!

Cons

Because Surf Air is a start up, it comes with a high work load, high responsibility, and having to get a little creative with your resources. However, I think its safe to say that people who work here do not view this as a con as it allows for freedom, room to be creative, and a unique ability to be apart of something big!

Pros

Good networking with members, however they are likely upset with you for some reason or another due to poor service. Flexible vacation.

Cons

A group of about 4 unqualified people run the show here. Your performance is irrelevant, what the members ask for is not important and decisions are made based on ego and not strategy. New/fake products are made up daily and pitched to prospective members, you will be asked to do bait and switch sales, told to lie/charge fees members didn't approve, and be harassed/shamed if you raise questions or don't comply with management. Most employees are underpaid with the promise that big things are coming, when in reality the company is burning through cash and always at the edge of catastrophe. Recently, for example, instead of enhancing the schedule + promoting within they front load all their money to buy out a competitor who is under FAA investigation, thinking this will help them own the marketplace. You can't dominate any industry without trust and good leadership. People don't trust Surf Air and the company leadership keeps widening the gap to profitability. There is a reason they've lost over 50% of their customers the past 5 years- lawsuits, false promises, overcharging, canceling routes, canceling flights, you name it. All while placing the burden on employees and not leadership. One thing is for certain at Surf Air, expect turbulence.

Pros

- Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, 401k, Pet, etc.) - Work from home available (depending on how far from the office you live... Clarify this before signing your offer letter) - Lunch purchased for you everyday you work from the office - Enjoyable colleagues who are always willing to lend a hand in training

Cons

- Long hiring process (5 interviews, over a month long before offer letter received) - Training and start date on their schedule, due to management being based in Texas. - Job is listed as a remote role. However, during first interview this changed to 1 day a week in office, then in the next interview it became 2 days a week in office. - Discussed salary multiple times with management during the interview process. Once the was offer letter was received, the salary was at 18% less than discussed with no communication as to why. - Take any personal reviews (e.g. 30 day, 60 day, etc.) within this company with a grain of salt. You may have a great review at the 30 day mark, meet all goals and expectations suggested by the next day, and then be let go. All within a 4 day period. - Will let you go/terminate your position if they see fit, without warning or just cause provided. - Termination may happen during surprise video chat invitation. -If you value yourself and hope to have even a modicum of respect from your employer, this will not be the place for you as you are disposable. -To recap: constantly shifting information during interview process, lack of communication and respect for employees looking for clarification, shady termination (and poor handling) while terminating employees who were told 2 days prior that they were doing a "great job." *** Advice to future employee: If they are asking you for knowledge on how to bring in extra business, a word of caution, as you are dispensable if you are unable/unwilling to share such information
