Pros
The only reason I am writing in this because there is a 20 word minimum required by Glassdoor and I have to fill up space
Cons
Where do I begin? I think I will start with some advice I wish I had gotten before starting to work here. The best advice on perusing a job with Surgeon's Advisor: Run in the opposite direction. Just like all employees that have been there longer than a day do. The posts "I don't think twice about coming into work" and “Some people can't handle start-up environments... You know the saying... Cant stand the heat...Stay out the kitchen”were written by the CEO. This is just one petty example of the games the CEO plays when things don't go his way. And watch yourself because they rarely do unless he is having his minions sabotage you so that they have a feeble reason to fire you. The lack of communication both internally and with clients is absurd. It is common that a client and the CEO will have a conversation at length where several promises are made and then weeks later the employee assigned to the account will receive an email from the client asking why nothing that was discussed has been done. Internally changes are made without the appropriate parties being notified and decisions regarding your clients are discussed without you knowing- only to fall in your lap if something goes wrong and they need to throw someone under the bus. The CEO spends time reviewing "metrics" regarding the time his employees tracks and if it takes too long for a task he will be sure to let you know how inefficient you are as it only takes him 5 minutes to do. If any information is discovered via their free computer tracking software the issue will never be discussed with you however you will be on the receiving end of being ignored mixed with the occasional condescending remark. The CEO doesn't just talk down to the employees themselves, he also talks about other employee to one another- discrediting their skill set and making fun of them. Saying that the management (I am using the term loosely here) of the company exhibits "favoritism" is an understatement. If you do not stand up and comment on how wonderful all of their ideas are (even if they are not) you will be ignored and become the target of their micromanaging and potential next fire. The so-called management micromanages every little thing you do however whether or not you are the target rotates depending on who they want to bully. This type of micromanagement includes constantly emailing about your tasks (even when they can see the current status in the task management system), asking others what you do and even walking behind you on the way their way in and out of the restroom to look at your monitors. With this type of environment it is no wonder the turnover is so high. Of course this is not the company's fault- the company blames the local talent pool and "lazy" staff. The only reason people stay longer than 6 months is because they have been sold this beautiful dream of a pleasant work environment with room for unlimited growth and they have a desire to succeed however once the new hire realizes their diamond in the ruff is really a huge lump of coal then they lose enthusiasm, are labeled "lazy" and end up quitting (because, according to management, they don't like to work).
