Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback on Glassdoor, we really hoped you had a direct conversation about your concerns as an early employee with the right stakeholders in the company. Nevertheless, I hope we are able to answer your concerns here; 1. Vision - It would have been helpful if more details on vision were shared here to be able to exactly answer your concerns however our vision is “We are committed to helping businesses & individuals to refine experiences at every touchpoint”. We apologize, we probably didn't do a great job in communicating the same and you understanding the same. We will take measures to educate all employees on it more frequently. 2. Salary - Although we are a seed-stage 3-year-old start-up, we do ensure we follow best practices & offer salaries, ESOPs among other benefits within the budgets of the company. We also always share the salary offered with break-ups as per the company standards during the interview process itself. Any candidate has the right to accept or decline the offer before joining the company as an employee. If you can describe the tricks used to accept a low salary please send us a note and we will ensure it is addressed immediately. Additionally, once a candidate joins we have a yearly appraisal process the details of which is available for all employees. Under the appraisal process, depending on the employee contributions and performance they are further awarded hikes, promotions and stocks. Also, above and beyond the salary we also offer employees other benefits such as Insurance, Gratuity, severance package, Internet reimbursement, free office furniture to set up a home office, free lunch, dinner and snacks at the office, learning and developments programs. 3. Promotions - We have a standard process of recognition, rewards and promotions which is documented and available for all employees to set their own growth path in the company. Also, to ensure there is no bias the reviews within the company are anonymous and evaluated based on 360 Degree Feedback. Employees are promoted based on their culture, attitude, positive contributions and not based on the number of years of experience alone. 4. Managers - We are perplexed to hear about toxic managers, just as employees even managers are frequently anonymously rated by peers and colleagues to ensure we maintain employee-friendly culture. We have not yet seen any such feedback from employees so far. However, if you can share details we would be happy to address them for the existing employees. Lastly, glad you had lots of learnings from the association with the company, we encourage learning by doing rather than classroom sessions or spoon-feeding.

Thanks for your feedback, before we get into addressing your concerns here looks like you have been with the company for more than 3 years out of the 4 years of its launch.. Thank you for all the support & all the positive contributions so far and hope the below responses address your challenges and you continue to execute on your personal and company goals :) Here is our response to each of the challenges mentioned, please feel free to reach out if you still need any further clarifications; 1. Workload - As a startup, to stay ahead of the competition and the market there will always be workload, we aren't in a stage where we can be comfortable. We would be worried if there is no work during the working hours. To ensure our teams do not burn out we practice a fair 5 day work week and do not encourage stretching beyond official working hours. Oh and our official work hours as aligned with the standard government regulations. 2. Lack of transparency - This is a broad statement without any specific example, however as a company we make everything that is needed for an individual to be successful in their respective roles & responsibilities. If there is still anything you see missing, you can always ask for it in the anonymous internal Q&A which is answered monthly at the all-hands by the leadership if you are not comfortable opening up in person with your manager or leadership. 3. Leadership politics - This seems to be a loose statement with no examples. By the definition of Workplace politics, it is the process or behavior that in human interactions involves power and authority for personal advantage including; - access to tangible assets - or intangible benefits such as status - pseudo-authority that influences the behavior of others Given the above definition, if you look at our org structure, you would clearly understand our organizational structure is built in a way that it does not support any of these neither the company is in a stage or size for this to exist. 4. Hypocrisy among some in the upper management - Once again, without context, it would be hard for anyone to understand or answer this. Hypocrisy is defined as the practice of claiming to have moral standards or views to which one’s own behavior (or the behavior of people in our family or tribe) does not meet. Everyone has been prone to hypocrisy at one point or another, as we are all humans that make mistakes. It would be best if you raise it in the internal anonymous Q&A to address this rather than public negativity to solve for it at the root cause. Sometimes, putting ourselves in other people’s shoes can also be helpful, and hope you continue to build a successful & fulfilling career as you have been in the last 3+ years with the company :)

Thank you for your time to share the review.. We are glad that you were able to learn from our technology stack and you like our culture. We take our culture seriously and always strive to give the best possible experiences to our customers and employees on our journey to build a world-class product company. We are sorry to hear about your concern regarding micro-management. We are a result-oriented company and discourage employees from micro-managing or being micro-managed. We strongly believe in providing employees with a platform & freedom to execute and deliver on the company goals and vision to win together as a team. If you still feel micromanaged, then as an open door policy company we strongly recommend you talk to the right stakeholder you are comfortable with or have a discussion directly with the CEO himself. All of us want our time at work to be fulfilling, productive and enjoyable rather than being micro-managed, hence it’s important to understand what micro-managing is and isn’t and recommend one should understand the difference between constructive and destructive criticism. Although we concisely avoid & discourage micro-management at every level, it's still in control of oneself to appreciate constructive criticism and ignore the destructive ones. Finally, one should understand that it’s not others that control someone for how they feel but it's ourselves and how we react to a given situation, hence it's good to flip the switch once in a while. Regarding the three months notice period, we are transparent about it even before an employee joins the company to set the right expectations and ensure the long term interests/goals of the company are protected. Any prospective employee has the choice to accept or refuse the offer before taking up the employment. Having said that, in the majority of cases, we ourselves have to wait for prospective employees to serve their notice period with their past employer which usually is a minimum of 2 to 3 months before they join our company. Once again, we would strongly recommend you to talk to your manager or the right stakeholders that you are comfortable with to ensure challenges can be addressed and you have a fruitful career. After all, we are a team and can address challenges only when coming together as a flock and solve for things.
