Pros

You can easily get a permit to Work in switzerland

Cons

Extremely high turn-over caused by poor management. They hire and fire employees without any reason. Management change ideas every two seconds, and they will blame employees for everything. They hire people, giving them plenty of promises and hopes and finally they will fire you just in time to do not pay your bonuses. If you are planning on studying or applying to SUMAS I highly recommend you to find something else.

Oh, where do I even begin with SUMAS? If you're searching for a place that exemplifies the pinnacle of instability and lack of job security, you've hit the jackpot with this gem of a company! I had the unique opportunity to experience SUMAS's extraordinary talent for rapidly reducing its workforce. They're so proficient at it that they managed to axe half the staff, including yours truly, in a mere two months. Now, you might think that a company needs reasons to terminate employees, but not at SUMAS! Here, the owner's mood swings serve as the ultimate compass for your career trajectory. It's a bit like playing a game of musical chairs, except instead of music, it's the owner's ever-changing emotions that dictate your fate. Honestly, it's impressive how SUMAS has managed to perfect the art of instability in the workplace. Job security? Pfft, who needs that? Just show up, do your job (or don't, it doesn't really matter), and watch the owner's whims decide whether you'll have a job tomorrow. It's like being on a never-ending reality show where the rules change by the minute. In conclusion, if you're searching for a place that embraces chaos, job insecurity, and an owner with the emotional stability of a rollercoaster, SUMAS is the place to be. Just don't get too comfortable, or you might find yourself in the next round of the owner's exhilarating game of "Who's Next to Go?"

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that you and several other team members were terminated within a short period. While we cannot comment on specific personnel matters, we assure you that we adhere to all Swiss laws and regulations. We continuously strive to improve our communication and management processes. As is often the case in any organization, among our diverse workforce, there have been instances of problematic behavior. Regrettably, there have been incidents of student mistreatment, unauthorized and/or illegal activities during working hours, and falsified CVs to mask deficiencies in required skills. In such challenging circumstances, our primary responsibility has always been to protect the interests of our students and safeguard our institution’s reputation. Nonetheless, we firmly believe that these actions were necessary to maintain our commitment to ethical standards and the well-being of our students. It is essential to emphasize that such instances represent a very small minority within our workforce. We are deeply appreciative of our team members, who are outstanding individuals, fully dedicated to our mission. Their support and dedication are integral to our continued success, and we cannot express our gratitude to them. Thank you SUMAS Community!

Pros

Idea of the school is great. International students with great background and amazing professors create a nice environment to work in, unlike the management.

Cons

- Constant hire/fire - turnover is extremely high . - Constant change of guidelines. - Toxic management - passive-aggressive attitude and email tone, gossiping about staff members, humiliating staff members in front of entire team, no transparency, no communication. - No career prospects: as a professional, one cannot grow at SUMAS, because your opinion is not respected, your mind and abilities are not challenged - you are just supposed to do what you are told and not question anything, otherwise, you will get fired.
