Pros

If you don't believe in the coronavirus, you'll fit right in.

Cons

Owner creates a hostile environment (i.e. gossiping about one employee to another, making inappropriate jokes in meetings about race and mental health). Discriminates against resumes of people with "black sounding names"....yep. Poor morale and empty benefits No work from home during COVID

Worst place I've ever worked

Pros

Free snacks and a cozy office setting.

Cons

The CEO and upper management are the most tone deaf, rude, pushy, selfish people I have ever worked with. They do not care about the well being or progression of their employees, they only care about how much money you can make them no matter the cost. The ceo pushed out her entire ecommerce team with how despicable she behaves but refused to take an inch of accountability. It feels like a fake mean girls club of people who were never actually popular in life. If you dont accept public verbal abuse, or if you push back on completely unreasonable requests, you will get fired or be pushed to quit. Also, the ceo is quietly discriminatory against people with children. She asked my race and marital status in the interview, which was a red flag that I overlooked.

Pros

Can't think of a single one! Taking a job at this company was the biggest mistake of my entire career.

Cons

-Typically when you apply for a position, and sign an offer letter, said position shouldn't really change too much within the first week of employment. I experienced a true bait and switch situation at Swig Life. Within my first week, I was given a whole department to manage that was never discussed in my interviews, nor was it included in the offer letter I signed. The owner/CEO just wanted to off-load a department so that she had less people reporting to her and used me as a way to do so. -The owner/CEO is a highly toxic human being. Unprofessional and inappropriate to say the least. I experienced her bad mouthing other employees behind their backs way too much for just the short time I was with the company. Calling one of her own sales reps "dumb as a box of rocks" in front of the entire senior management team during a meeting, but not seeing anything wrong with that. -There is no respect for anyone's time during the work day. You will have constant back-to-back meetings, but don't expect a single one to start or end on time. Everyone is extremely overworked, but deadlines are not being made. Red flag. -There is no trust, hence the lack of work from home flexibility. I literally heard the CEO say "if we let them work from home on Friday's, they won't actually work". She must also have final say over every single thing, so there is no autonomy for the employees who are actually doing all the work. -Turn over rate is high, which is understandable once you spend a day working for the CEO. There is only one employee who has been with the company since it started, and her relationship with the CEO is probably the most toxic situation I've ever encountered at a place of employment.
