Paranoid,dishonest owner Very unprofessional management Likeability is more important than skills and productivity Worst costumer relations Pay is salary and once a month(expect to work overtime for no compensation) Very poor pay compared to other local A/V companies No drive time to job site is included in your day No flexible hours what so ever(7am to 3:30pm) Expected to not take breaks or lunch Cheating the costumers constantly and often getting caught so expect to be confronted by clients! Project management is the poorest I have ever seen in any company Lots of out of town work with extremely short notice When jobs are out of town you will share a room(you won’t be told at your interview) Constant problems with pay check or reimbursement(so check your pay stub every time) Lots of gossip Install team is blamed for every design or managerial errors! Project manager will throw you under the bus to make him appear look good for the owners. Very toxic paranoid environment caused by one of the owners. One other thing to mention:Every single positive review is written by the marketing department!!!!

Monthly paychecks are standard. the rate is not hourly, salary so OT is rarely seen. Technicians double up in hotel rooms when traveling. Being 5 minutes late is viewed as a serious offense even if any of the following are true: There is no work today and you are going to sit in the office(shop); the site is in another county; you worked more than 8 hours the days prior. The owner will show up to site and will be involved with the technical work being done for days at a time even at the cost of compromising the functions of the operations happening in the office. The social vibe feels a bit like high school, gossip and popularity will significantly impact your day to day and the owner definitely has some weird paranoia stuff going on. Having had many conversations with people in the industry locally about this employer not a single one has had anything positive to say about the company and the best of their technicians have left for similar reasons. Did you already work for them and are now reading this? Did Greg most of the time in the exiting interview asking you not to leave a bad review on glassdoor.com? DO NOT LET HIM INTIMIDATE YOU from being transparent about how this company works and treats its technicians. This is a resource for our trade as a community to create accountability and he has no right to even say the name of this website in these exiting interviews. My regret is waiting so long to write this, my industry deserves better.

Good work life balance, most of the team are good guys, free coffee and snacks, nice office (don't be fooled)

Cons

Unprofessional and paranoid owners that make work unbearable at times. One owner in particular brings paranoia to a new level. (He also claims disabled veteran status which truly is shameful) An overall gossipy high school type environment with unqualified higher ups.

Synergy and its management is focused on building a positive environment that gives its employees the tools and drive to succeed. Our team is more focused than ever on building strong customer relationships and designs that any company would be proud of. Formerly serving in the United States Army with integrity and honor, Synergy Media Group is a Certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Company. A status that has a very stringent and thorough vetting process. One that takes over 6 months of review. This is not just something a company or owner can just "claim". We have just completed our reviews last month and the positive and constructive ideas for each employee (Including Sr. Management) have been laid out for all to have a path to success.
