Losing Culture and Identity

Pros

Individuals often exhibit remarkable kindness and compassion, and this can be attributed to the former managing director's dedicated efforts in fostering a strong organizational culture akin to a close-knit family.

Cons

Since the departure of the previous Managing Director, there has been a noticeable shift in the company's identity. The current work environment has become more demanding, often stretching employees to their limits, and it appears that the right individuals are not receiving the support they require. In the past, team calls were occasions for personal updates, with active participation from 30-40 colleagues who genuinely enjoyed sharing their experiences. Unfortunately, these gatherings have dwindled to fewer than 10 attendees, leading to a noticeable decline in employee morale. This raises questions about the preservation of the company culture that upper management had promised. Additionally, compensation has become a concern. While consulting has historically offered modest pay, we were known for being competitive in this regard. However, the current pay structure seems inconsistent and arbitrary, making it challenging for employees to ascertain the significance of their roles or titles in relation to compensation. This shift appears to be influenced by the actions of the Country partner

Great culture, terrible management at the top

Pros

- lovely people who are friendly and supportive - flexibility to work remotely and on-site

Cons

- compensation on the lower side compared to market average - uncertain business outlook with diminishing demand/projects: higher management even asked employees if they were willing to relocate to other countries with lower pay - questionable decision-making at the top - lack of acknowledging and rewarding good performance, let alone the time and effort put in
