Pros

flexible hours fully remote company

Cons

ancient, outdated technology (some code in production was written in 2002 or earlier) hourly pay management is entirely promoted from within and don't really know what they are doing will throw employees under the bus to protect the "old boys club" unwilling to invest in technical debt (there is a lot of vb, vanilla js, angular 1, .net 4.6 and only 1 repo in .net core 3.1 and nothing newer) nepotism the founder of the company has no idea how to code, yet continues to do so, adding to his 20k+ lines per file with variables like "var_a" extremely poor project management no agile processes at all siloing on projects with SMEs who don't respond to chat

Pros

Able to learn a lot about call routing and contact center technologies and build those systems out (configuration and implementation work). Good healthcare plan.

Cons

Integration specialists have to not only do implementation work / installs, but also basically work in a call center as tech support when they aren't doing installs. Not great incentives, as the pay increase is really just a 5-7% increase per year, even if you are doing an awesome job. They don't call their employees engineers even though they are... this makes it harder for current employees to find similar jobs on the market to compare their job against. Have to be on call every few weeks. One person stays on call for an entire week, pretty much killing any plans you have.
