Pros

Co-workers are kind and help you get through the thick of it

Cons

Here's the short version: Run as fast as you can in the other direction. Here's the long version: This place is a complete joke. To say that my experience here was negative would be an gross understatement. No one in management has an actual advertising/marketing background or the vision to lead the company in an innovative direction. The work environment is toxic, the work load is uninspiring and repetitive, and management is completely out of touch and unaware of the necessary structure to build a successful advertising team. It's constantly chaotic and always a scramble to get things done because no one has the foresight to plan in an effective manner. If you want to grow professionally in this field, don't expect to get any guidance from management because they have no idea what they're doing. You're better off watching YouTube clips. But if you want to be overworked, under-appreciated, and underpaid, this is the place for you.

No one wants to hear their former team members as having felt that they wasted their time here. But it's important to get candid feedback on their experience. And while it's bluntly direct (and not in a good way), we take these comment seriously and look for ways to improve. To address these comments, we wanted to share the following truths: 1) Our management has an even split of those with advertising (specifically within an agency environment) background, and those with other diverse backgrounds outside of traditional marketing fields. But rather looking at this as a con, we believe that this in fact is a pro, by providing diversity in thought and approach versus the "traditional" agency mindset. 2) We are a close knit agency team. Everyone in the agency has a direct and tangible way of impacting and driving our business. One of our core values is for our team members to create value. Often times, our projects provide a rough guideline from which to operate in order to deliver the campaign results, and we exceed is by having the opportunity to leverage our creativity to make it happen. We don't underestimate the value of structure and process. But will work to continue to improve the balance between being told what to do and value creation. 3) Admittedly, we work in a very fast-paced environment. Those that succeed are able to learn, adapt and drive the results of our campaigns. But throughout, leading with integrity and vision is critical. As a result, we have had an opportunity to revisit our core mission, vision and values - or in other words - our purpose, direction of where we're going and how we behave. We hope that through the communications and sharing of our new M/V/V - we're able to bring more clarity of our expectations with our team members and partners in who we work with.

This is really great feedback and something that we strive to work on to improve. The reality is that even with the best intentions, they don't mean anything unless there's tangible actions to back up our words and "nice image." I am committed to improving our agency's culture and am making it the business of our entire agency from our most senior team members to our newest folks (and I mean EVERYONE) about understanding our agency's mission, vision and values. Consistent and intentional conversations about how we apply our purpose of why we exist, our direction of where we want to go and value structure around how we behave and choosing to abide by these guidelines is something that we hope to continue to work on and strive for improvement... everyday. It does not mean that at times we will fall. But it's really about how we grow and learn from these experiences which will ultimately show itself. As it states in one of our agency values - which is to "learn continuously" - we hope to apply this in helping to build a better culture. With that said - I do want to clarify that we do have ongoing performance evaluations to understand team members' personal and professional goals, and the steps the company can do to support in that journey. Our ultimate goal is to retain our team members, not replace.. while recognizing that our line of work and values just aren't made for everyone.

Pros

You used to be able to work remotely, but they changed it to hybrid. So not really a pro anymore

Cons

CEO can’t get new business and running it to the ground. Therefore, there were 2 rounds of layoffs. But then she just replaces all the people laid off with her friends. Owner has no heart in the Asian community and really just “works” to go on free trips domestically and to Cannes. Can you believe that? They have no money to pay for their long time employees of over 7 years but they decide to go to Cannes? It really boggles my mind how twisted this company got. They talk about people being the pillar of the company but dispose of them so easily. Also it’s really bad pay compared to rest of the other agencies.
