Steer well clear of this toxic place!
Any of the positive reviews here are likely to be written by HR or SLT in a desperate and pathetic attempt to try and counteract the endless negative reviews. It’s not going to work, sorry to break it to you. There is also a thing called ‘word of mouth’, people talk, and it’s a small world. I have even had recruiters and people in my new job tell me they have heard awful things about THG before I even said a word.
Due to THG Ingenuity being the worst experience of a business in my career to date, I feel it is only fair to warn any other potential candidates who are considering applying for a job here. All of the negative reviews that are 2 stars and under are actually the reality of what it’s like to work there, so don’t trust the positive reviews. The newest positive review states ‘not everyone is suited to the environment’.. I could laugh at how absurd and deluded this statement is, but more than anything it infuriated me.
No one who cares for their own sanity and mental health (the majority of people) would be suited to this awful environment, hence why so many people leave in their droves every week, some even without another job lined up (thus risking financial instability in the current climate) as mentioned in countless reviews here. Stop blaming your hardworking, talented employees on ‘not being suited to the environment’ when it is in fact your failings as a business and the toxic mess of a culture you have enabled.
In fact, it is your terrible business and culture that is not suitable for us.
It’s so obvious that it’s a fake review, the SLT said the exact same thing when I worked there - ‘not everyone is suited to this environment’. This is completely shifting blame, selfishly evading accountability and responsibility. Blame culture is rife there and it’s clear to see why. This is proof that they don’t care for their employees whatsoever, they are not treated humanely or with respect.
Taking some accountability would be a good place to start in building more positive reviews, rather than some half hearted attempt at a positive review on Glassdoor that probably took one minute to write. It’s shameful and completely disregards all of the issues and stress you have put your current and former employees through (and continue to, by all accounts).
