Pros
This is a small company of 35 employees that are mostly engineers. Upper management takes the time to know everyone and to hear ideas. It is a friendly atmosphere and the company celebrates hard work and success. If you work hard and do well, it will be noticed and rewarded. The work is an interesting cross between machining, physics, math, computer science, and engineering.
Cons
This is a small company so the opportunity for career advancement isn't mapped out as clear. You can manage a group or become an expert, lead, or senior member. There is lots of room to take on responsibility and tailor the job to your skills and interests, and to continue to grow and move up. I marked this specifically as a 4/5 because it is different than big companies. On a side note you can move up faster here if you do well.
