Flexible workplace with good intent, but dsome structure gaps
Pros
Kinda surprising there aren’t many detailed reviews out there that reflect how things actually run. The company is pretty flexible and easy to work with overall. You can tell they’re trying to bring in new ideas and improve things. You also got solid hands-on experience and learned a lot.
Cons
There're still some internal gaps. Some long-time employees are quite resistant to change, so new ideas don’t always land well or move quickly. Planners are tied to fixed accounts with no rotation, which can feel limiting over time. Workload and priorities also lean more toward higher-revenue clients (which is not ideal), so things can feel a bit uneven from an ops side, even if it makes sense business wise. I could always sense some tension between teams. At times it feels like production has the upper hand, and planners have to be extra careful just to get jobs moving instead of collaborating and communicating well about timelines. On top of that, timelines and production flow can feel a bit relationship-driven between sales and supervisors, which doesn’t exactly make it easy for planners to get things moving efficiently. Supervisors / higher-ups are definitely very experienced in the work, but not the strongest when it comes to people management at all. Communication from management also isn’t always super clear. Some decisions and rules just get set without much context, so it’s hard to know the “why” behind everything. Salary is on the lower side, and there’s no real structured performance review process, so any pay increase usually has to be chased. Part of why I eventually moved on to a company where workload and accounts are handled in a more balanced and transparent way, which just feels more fair and sustainable.
