      A Good Place Gone Bad

      Pros

      There are lots of great people that work or have worked at TMK IPSCO. Unfortunately, the drop in the price of oil caused business to slow down, and there were many layoffs, or people quit before they could get laid off. It was a wonderful diverse group of people and everyone got along, and respected each other.

      Cons

      Mis-managed. Executive management do not seem to have direction.

      Pros

      TMK is a good company to work for. A bit unorganized in the management department, there is a major power struggle at the top and in turn it trickles down on all levels. Overall they are a good company to work for.

      Cons

      The hours are long and there is a lot of forced overtime, which can be considered either good or bad. The shifts rotate from week to week so not a lot of at home time with the family.

      Pros

      Quirky little company with some good attributes. Management is approachable and will listen. Pay and benefits are generally good. Business is cyclical and tied to oil and gas industry. Russian owned which makes decision making difficult.

      Cons

      Company has laid off over 50% of their employees at the time that I separated due to poor business conditions. Business in decline.
