I have been working at Tabcorp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great Place to Work.
Great work - personal life balance.
    Flexibility of work in place.
Understand you and your family needs.
Promote great work life balance by senior executive team.
Good salary, bonus, perks. Mint office environment, kitchen facilities are great. Desks are awesome and comforatble.

Many events througout the year that engage you with other teams. Flexi leave is my favourite. Also, business is giving back to community by organising cumminiity day where you can participate.

    Cons

None. But I could see decision power shifted towards north.
Like to see TPD or health insurance, myki discount etc in perks.

    Advice to Management

Like to see some employee benefits that can assist day to day like MyKi discount, health insurance etc.

    I worked at Tabcorp full-time

    Pros

I worked with an amazing immediate team up to and including my GM.
Good relationships with other business units.
    Interesting and challenging work.

    Cons

There is little faith across the team in the HR Group Executive, who gives an impression of not being interested in the team's concerns.

I worked at Tabcorp full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

very nice Melbourne office. close to public transport

    Cons

People and culture is working very hard to promote / improve culture. They did well but depends on which team you are in, things can be different.
My experience in this particular team is:
    1. team manager is VERY poor, i.e. playing favoritism, no context provided for all jobs given, no involvement, no professional development, no career progression, no empowering, no proper recognition for the work you do, take all credits etc.

    2. some team member who can be with the business for a long time has a " this is how we do things here" mentality, lack of technical skills, no team spirit and pull ranks. Dont get me wrong, there are very nice and talented people in the business, they are just not in my team.

    3. Tabcorp itself is highly regulated business. The Brand has a great heritage so is the of operation. I can be wrong but the area Im in, it's political, slow, no challenge to status-quo.

I have been working at Tabcorp part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Lots of flexible working arrangements. Able to work from home and set hours as I like. Good pay. Nice offices in Sydney.

    Cons

Job freeze has meant increase in workload without any recognition or compensation. High turnover has increased this load.
Staff care has dropped off markedly in the last few years, no longer a mutually beneficial relationship anymore, just do as you're told.
Chaotic going through the merger with Tatts. Very little structure or clarity about roles and processes but still the expectation that the work will get done.
Little support for staff going into new roles - no training available. No pay rise offered when taking on increased responsibility, even after extended time in the job.
Not great scope for advancement working in Sydney, with the bigger offices being in Melbourne and Brisbane.
Teams split across cities with very little budget to travel to increase team cohesion.

    Advice to Management

No one wants to be set up to fail. Look after your staff and they'll look after you.

    Cons

mediocre digital leadership, and too many managers. no talent acquisition, no talent retention, lots of outsourcing. place to hone your skills as a junior, steer away if senior.

    Advice to Management

hire smart people and ask them what to do rather than telling them what to do.
