Was a decent dog sitting job just not worth the pay
Pros
Love and miss the owner of the company. Got a lot of decent clients through her. I enjoyed all the dogs that I walked. She always had my back whenever something crazy went down and was very considerate about most things. Sometimes I wish I could go back.
Cons
The downside was that I was walking in different areas instead of just walking only in one certain area of Chicago. It just got too much to handle. Plus, my legs are not in good condition anymore because of how much walking I was doing. I felt like I spent most of my time on public transportation then walking dogs because it would take me about 45 minutes to an hour to get to most of my walks, which caused me to be behind. It was super draining and exhausting. I prefer to be in one area with a set route because I'm not spending most of my time on public transportation. I will blame Covid though because in the area that I chose I didn't have many walks, so she had me doing walks in different areas. I also felt like the owner wasn't focused on her walkers much. I feel like she was doing way too much and needed to hire other people for things she couldn't be there for. She was always in and out of town trying to expand the company and I felt like that wasn't important. Communication was really hard with her sometimes. I felt as though she wasn't listening to my needs sometimes, and it was very frustrating. I honestly wish she was able to hire people to help her out because I sure would have help her out.
