Pros

-15$ a day for lunch -most coworkers are chill -you get to say you work at the chrysler building -the severance package offered was acceptable

Cons

-terrible pay negates the 15$ for lunch. -terrible insurance plans make that twice as insulting. -everyone is miserable all the time. -management is extremely dishonest. They will not act on reports of bullying, and will not sponsor your Visa. They will wait until it's too late to do anything about it before they tell you that second part. -Company is morally bankrupt. You will work for truly evil clients. -Company is also regular bankrupt, or always on the edge of it. Don't expect to feel secure in your employment. -absolutely no respect for work-life balance. -the work you will do is completely meaningless.

Pros

coworkers were great, and paid 15$ lunch

Cons

My experience at Mobot was extremely disappointing and ultimately unsustainable. Layoffs appear to occur on a regular, almost yearly basis, creating constant anxiety and instability for employees. Compensation is very limited, for operations roles (non-management), the salary ceiling seems to cap around $78k, with little to no meaningful growth beyond that. Employees are forced to work overtime daily, with no regard for work-life balance. This overtime is unpaid, and when you factor it in, the effective hourly rate ends up being comparable to an hourly job paying around $26/hour, except with significantly more stress and far less respect. You would genuinely be better off elsewhere. Management is one of the biggest issues. Many managers lack basic social and leadership skills, openly embarrassing employees in front of coworkers and fostering a hostile, demoralizing environment. There were constant complaints to HR about the same individuals, and during my entire time at the company, nothing was ever done. HR felt performative rather than protective. The work itself often felt disorganized and unfulfilling, and the overall culture made the job feel like a joke rather than a serious professional environment. To anyone still working there: good luck during the next round of layoffs, because history suggests it’s coming. Leaving Mobot has been an absolute blessing, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for stability, respect, or long-term career growth.

Loved the culture; then they dropped me

Pros

Engineers were remote, so we enjoyed a lot of trust and self-management. My manager genuinely wanted to see me grow into a better engineer. Holiday shutdown.

Cons

There wasn't much place for growth within the company. They ran out of things for me to do. That being said, I loved my team so I decided to let them know over a month in advance when a better opportunity came around. The company let me go the very next day, very obviously so they wouldn't have to pay me for the yearly holiday shutdown. That holiday shutdown was supposedly to thank the team for their hard work throughout the year, but they didn't care to thank me, I guess. When I emailed the CEO explaining how it made me feel, she basically ignored what I wrote and gave me some corporate talk. I could've easily given them a two week notice right after the holiday shutdown, but decided not to in good faith. This is how they repaid me. I loved this company, but this experience ruined my view of Mobot.
