Pros

It’s a good company if you don’t want to work hard.

Cons

There’s no structure, no professionalism, no HR and very low work motivation. The old and crazy president makes insane business decisions and his son is even more absurd. Very incompetent management.

Rusted, old, heavy company for people who want to take a break

Pros

- Flexible hours (most employees don't do 40h a week, there never is anyone in the office after 4pm) - Complete lack of pressure (no one cares about most anything) - Free bus pass - A great place to move on your own agenda (everyone there is doing it) - Some amazing people

Cons

Nothing happens there, projects always take forever because the stack is so obsolete and terrible that changing a typo can easily take two weeks. Managment has been told countless times that it was the result of cutting corners way too much but they keep doing it. Most teams are comprised of - Many old timers who are bad at what they do or straight up don't care but will not give any room to new ideas as they don't want to look bad - Some new motivated recruits that quickly quit because of crushing cognitive dissonance There is no documentation and old timers are very happy with it as this is what they owe their position to keeping info locked away. This is especially true in the technological dept. The management has no idea of what they are doing, they have absolutely no ethics and you'll often be asked to use dark patterns to increase greatly exaggerated numbers. They even installed surveillance on everyone's computer without telling the coop (or anyone) in order to check that employees were actually working. The Co-op will take 10% off your salary and you will have no advantage in exchange: no visibility, no say and no compensation. TL;DR Do not go there. Under no circumstances.

Pros

*Quick hiring process *Flexibility to work from home some days (if you ask for it in advance) *Many co-workers are very nice people

Cons

*No formal HR department. *Obligatory CO-OP membership (with ~10% salary retention) even if you do not sign the papers or consent to it *Women are often disrespected (even those who are in management). Verbal sexual harassment is common. *No raises, evaluations or inflation adjustments, ever (unless you are about to leave for better job) *Uncomfortable and old chairs *Dirty, broken and old carpets

Hi, I'm sorry you feel this way. There are many issues, please let me address them: For HR and any related issues such as questions of harassment, please address these issues with the HR director, F. Achim. These matters are not taken lightly but if we are unaware, we cannot take appropriate actions. As you mention, there has not been raises for everyone lately but we have had profit sharing for the last two years to compensate. All matters regarding the furniture and decor are an issue of the past, we are moving to our new offices and will have new furniture and brand new office environment. For the COOP, it is a mandatory program for all employees. It is addressed as such in all documentation from the day a job offer is made. It is a very advantageous RRSP program that let's you invest in the company where you work, where you can make a difference, the COOP owns 43% of TEC after all. If you have any other issues, please come see your management, our doors are always open.
