While Tecology respects the rights of every individual to express their opinion, we believe that correcting factually inaccurate statements is in every reader’s best interest. We would like to clarify the following factually inaccurate item(s): “Low pay” To ensure competitive compensation, Tecology reviews wages annually with a labor market data analysis company. If pay increases in the market for any role, compensation is increased for all team members in that role. Tecology is fully transparent with compensation in job postings. “They lied about bonuses” All bonus overviews and details are documented and presented to employees. “Time tracking requirements are insane, you will be expected to track literally every minute of your time and bill in increments of 4 minutes” Tecology has a standard time clock system. As a service company, time billable to clients must be tracked, however, we do not expect employees to track every minute of their time. “there is no opportunity for development, training, or growth” Continuous development is a primary focus and key pillar in our employee evaluation process. Promotions and bonus opportunities exist for all employees who are committed to learning. “the owner keeps his operations/hr person in his office” I’m unsure of when this team member worked for us. Operations/HR did share an office due to space. Our office moved more than a year ago and this is no longer the case. “vacation time and sick time policy was convoluted and was the least generous of any company I’ve ever worked at. I am not sure it meets WA legal minimums” We think it’s a simple system- a single pool to use for any PTO needs (sick or vacation) and exceeds the Washington legal minimums by 3x excluding additional PTO bonuses.
