Pros
Great location, has benefits (wouldn't say they are anything to brag about). Pay is average. If you want to work somewhere where you can punch in and out and go through the motions and never get a promotion, this is the place. If you like to say, "That's not my job" than this is the place. If you like to gossip about other coworkers and complain about everything, than this is the place.
Cons
Tekra was acquired by Genuine Parts Company which is a giant publically traded company. The atmosphere and culture of Tekra left with the former CEO (Tully) and all of the employees who had been there for 20+ years. Aside from management, the majority of people there are new and inexperienced - leaving Tekra struggling to be a shell of its former self. Everyone seems to hate their job. The common answer to any request is "That is not my job". Sarcasm runs high and optimism runs low. Office politics are ridiculous and department managers seems to battle each other often. The only managers who you can appreciate there are in the warehouse.
