Pros

Avoid at all costs. If anything the office is nicely located.

Cons

I should have written this a long time ago but waited to see if this company would bounce back from what has been a complete disaster for the last two years. Unfortunately it is run by a group of unprofessional people who do not have any experience outside the Telavox bubble. No perspective, no ideas of their own, lack of innovation, DIVERSITY, equal pay and empathy. These are the things you can expect from working at a place like this. If you get an offer from them, ask your union for advice because there sure as hell do not have a collective agreement and will never agree to get one regardless of the countless times their employees asked for this. So if you haven’t already, run and don’t give them the chance to persuade you because they won’t think twice about firing you just because it doesn’t suit their direction (which will change all the time).

Pros

Nothing positive to say about this company.

Cons

Telavox is a company that I will exclusively remember for ruining my professional career. It is a company that has zero insight where the personnel trajectory is going, although Management is fully aware that their financial results are going down the drain (easy to look up online). With that on the table they offered me an employment (meeting my ask knowing that I had another offer on the table), only to cut my probational employment after two months. Makes one think what HR is doing? Obviously, not their job! As for the company Culture, on the IT side, absolutely nothing positive to say. All employees exclusively look to their founders as Gods (kudos for building the company...), although they are still stuck in a 5 person start up mentality. The internal narrative is that people should be innovative, however, if one's thoughts go against those of the most senior in IT, one will be met with a wall of gaslighting and isolation. IT Strategy? There is none. Only technical debt and a 20-year monolithic NULL Pointer ridden JAVA codebase. (I feel sorry for the people working overtime to solve production bugs). Lastly, it is very hypocritic for a CEO to order a mandatory office presence policy from his villa in Spain! I have absolutely nothing positive to say, and for potential future candidates, if you do not want to get stuck in a groupthink-based hodgepodge of a company, working late hours fixing bugs, do yourself a favour and hang up if you get headhunted, or don’t submit your job application. In my 25 years career I have not witnessed what I witnessed in Telavox, and I deeply regret having stepped into that building.
