Pros

Working at Milligram was great because of the Retail Assistants working in the stores, and everyone was very kind. The staff discount is pretty good at 50%, and the job is tedious but not very difficult. George St Manager was very good at taking care of the store.

Cons

Management doesn't give proper training, a lot of responsibilities depend on casual workers to take initiative, resulting in an unbalanced work load for different people. There needs to be better training and better delegation of tasks. Headquarters is also often scrimpy, not giving bonuses during Christmas, increasing budget to avoid giving bonuses to staff, etc. This also led to a lot of the competent staff quitting early. There is also not enough training given to equip workers to sell such high-end pens. It is up to the worker to train and educate themselves. They also replace products they used to buy and sell from other brands with copies that they produce themselves, that are much worse in quality and honestly quite embarrassing to explain to the customer sometimes. Doesn't take any feedback from the retail workers who are the ones experiencing problems constantly first-hand. Any Day Now and Studio Milligram products are generally very poorly designed as well. Although George St had very competent employees, for those that were transferred from other stores it was very clear that they were undertrained.

Pros

Staff discount is 50% off - including sale items.

Cons

Where do I begin? Stores were constantly left understaffed, and both management and the casual team were hardly provided any training, especially after the initial onboarding. Maybe consider addressing the issues that exist in the existing stores before expanding? Multiple issues (stock, rostering, marketing, VM, etc) were raised over the course of the years I was with Milligram and nothing changed, but stores kept opening! There is specific staff members in head office who were nasty and disrespectful to store staff members, and it is unacceptable. Any of the other negative reviews of this place are 100% accurate. You also pay your manager's NOTHING. Never been so underpaid in my life,

Pros

Casual staff are lovely. Discount is 50% off everything. Stores are nice. HR are lovely

Cons

Constant stock issues. Upper management is struggling to be down to earth. Any rostering concerns voiced or unions involved and you're likely to be fired.
