Dear colleague Thanks for your feedback - we encourage any and all candor that helps us be the best employer we can. Here is some comments to address your concerns. (1) We are proud of providing a catered lunch for free every day. It costs us a lot, but it is worthwhile to have everyone relax together, and we keep it pretty healthy. However there is only so much we can do without a full cafeteria or cooks on staff, so if you don’t like the menu for the day, take a friend out for lunch break. But please give our caterer feedback so they can improve too. (2) We offer two choices of healthcare, free for all employees. Based on your family's health needs you can use one of our plans, or any other plan, but note we don't have any input or control over the costs of healthcare for family members. (3) Bonuses are just that - it's not meant to be a guaranteed income, but rather an incentive to try help all of us go the extra mile. Even if we sometimes had long continuous periods of constant over performance, please don't count on a bonus if we don't hit the budgeted numbers. It is true that the targets keep on moving up, but that is because we are growing, and it is expected of us to keep growing (4) This was a misunderstanding - I'm sure no-one meant to lie to you. But to clarify: as always, we start the review cycle in January (HR is already working on that as we speak), resulting in company wide adjustments later in Q1. Last year almost everyone got increases in ~March. Please be patient a short while longer - we're not allowed to do this more than once a year. Separately, if you feel your wage is below market, please talk to HR or myself, we'll try our best to help. (5) I sincerely apologize if you were paid late. We had some payroll admin challenges with direct deposits being delayed due to bank holidays. We knew it in advance and always offered to issue checks instead for people that need it right away, but that’s not good enough, I know. Which is why I made sure everyone in production/accounting/HR even legal depts, all know this is unacceptable, and this is why we changed the payroll process to make sure it can't happen again. If you or any of your colleagues have more to share, feel free to come and chat (really, I don’t bite), or email me, HR, or the new email I just created: employeefeedback@teradek.com. Thanks again for your feedback. We want to be a great place to work, and we want to attract and retain great people. You just helped us to do better! Cheers Nicol

Pros

-Free food is quite alright. There could be more selection and less grease but hey, it's free. -Bonus system for employees in operations if the targets are hit. -Management is pretty nice. -Coworkers are all great people. -Good overtime hours during some seasons.

Cons

-Running low on parking space. Some of us might need to handicap ourselves soon -We run out of carbonated drinks sometimes, that's never fun.

Hey! First off thank you for your feedback, we love hearing from our employees! We feel your pain on the parking spaces and have been able to utilize the lot next door. We are also going to be working on some other initiatives to free up more space in the lot. The inaugural room is a work in progress but we will take your feedback and try to expand on it even more. Thank you!

Pros

Everyone is super friendly, and while people mock you for being different for a time, they eventually realize that that's just who you are. As long as you're ok with a startup like environment, I would recommend this place to work, since it has a great atmosphere, the leadership is great, and has a free office lunch every day (although the restaurant that serves the food lately has fallen on hard times). Most of the employees are early-30s and under, so you will fit in unless you're hard to get along with or don't have the motivation to do work.

Cons

The vacation is stingy, just 2 weeks off whereas in other companies they were more generous, some having as many as 2 weeks vacation and 2 weeks sick leave, in addition to maternity leave or daddy leave. They also have yet to have a raise for people involved with the team for less than 2 years. Snacks were constantly an issue as well, as foods were constantly ordered that were the same from Costco, even though some of them were stocked multiple times due to no one eating them.
