Pros

Benefits are good but not good enough to put up with the cons.

Cons

Too many unnecessary meetings. Frivolous culture driven meetings and activities on top of that. Texans causes too much stress and burnout. Everything is in a constant state of change and has been for years with no end insight. Toxic positivity culture. Senior leaders are out of touch. Several toxic senior leaders and no one to report it to without fear of retaliation or lack of confidentiality. Feedback is not valued. Strong performers are not recognized unless favored. Not all groups are treated equally.

Pros

The staff tries to be helpful. There are real gems in each department as well as some good leaders.

Cons

The benefits are not good if you are covering your family. They pay 100% employee benefits but charge more for additional family members. I pay more here just for kid even though I’m 100% covered than at my previous job where I paid for benefits for both of us. The COO is very pretentious and does not care about people. He pretends to, but puts in place policies that are unfair and undermines certain groups. There is also no diversity in their chiefs, for African Americans good luck getting a position higher than a branch manager- not sure if there are any left in that role most African Americans there have low paying hourly roles. For Black History month they sent an email to the entire staff that repeatedly referenced blacks as Negroes. Out of all the history they could have chosen something else to write about that did not have continuous use of that word. It’s not a great company for people of color unless your going into IT. If your not looking for diversity and are okay with the good ol boys club, this is the place for you!
