Pros

You'll work alongside some truly great people who have dedicated a long time to the company. * The pay is top-tier in the music industry, and it's high for a reason – the demands match the compensation. * I was fortunate to work closely with executive leadership and the family. While they're old school, this exposure is invaluable and honestly builds you for the tough nature of the business. * The experience here prepares you to navigate political landscapes you'll encounter anywhere else. But at least they’ll take care of you. * If you love what you do and are resilient, it can be a great place for a long-term career. Your success largely depends on what you put into it; honesty and openness go a long way. If you’re used to lying or Faking it to make it… this isn’t for you. Leave your ego at the door * The C-level leadership was supportive in my career journey and departure

Cons

There's a lot of scrutiny around leadership, which seems to be part of the territory in this business. * The environment is undeniably cutthroat, and the family aspect can be challenging to navigate. * The product stack is heavy, and the work is demanding. This is not a place for the sensitive or faint of heart; you can either grow immensely or burn out. * It's a stressful environment that can feel defeating at times. * While great for a long-term role if you're committed, if you're looking for significant upward movement or broader opportunities down the line, you might need to seek those outside the organization.

Pros

Loved working here - everyone is friendly and professional, the pay and benefits are great, and I enjoyed working a music industry job, even if it wasn't directly music-focused. The office is in an awesome location too.

Cons

It didn't matter so much for my position as it was an office-orientated job, but I noticed it wasn't as remote friendly as other office jobs for desk-based roles.

bad company with worse people

Pros

I wish I had some. Holiday bonuses and free tickets to some shows.

Cons

Actually a bad company. This company is led (as someone below me mentioned) by a notoriously ruthless person in the music industry with an additional napolean complex. The environment is not only competitive and ruthless because of this, but toxic and loaded with gigantic egos that can hardly hide this unfortunate trait if they tried. The two co-presidents, Susan and Beth, are also clueless and nasty people with zero social skills and an utter inability to effectively lead others. BOTH are out of touch with the world at large and more importantly, with company moral and employee consideration. Such tactics used by the two (though some used more frequently by each than the other) with employees include: bullying, dismissing suggestions and offering no feedback to improve, stonewalling, belittling employees in front of others, lack of ability to listen to anyone beneath them, just overall bad management. I suggest this is due to their own narcissism and their desire to please and emulate their own boss, who again, has a ruthless napoleon complex. I personally have seen less people grow in their roles than should be. My suggestion is to seek employment at another company if you’re interested in music management in any capacity.
