Unfortunately, my experience within the Medicare division has been very different. Over the past two years, I have watched communication, transparency, and leadership steadily decline. Important decisions appear to be made without meaningful input from direct leaders or a clear understanding of the data and day-to-day realities of the business.
The recent termination of two highly productive senior agents is a prime example. Their departures hurt morale, created uncertainty across the team, and will likely have a significant impact on fourth-quarter production. Employees are left questioning whether performance and experience are truly valued.
Communication from senior leadership within the Medicare division is inconsistent, making it difficult for managers to effectively lead their teams. As a result, trust has eroded, morale continues to decline, and many employees feel uncertain about the future. Throughout this period, I have observed several costly leadership decisions with little visible accountability or ownership.
I have never witnessed a leadership team become so disconnected from the employees closest to the business. It is disappointing to watch a business segment with tremendous potential struggle because of avoidable leadership failures. My concern is that by the time these issues are acknowledged, many of the people who built the division's success will already be gone.
