Pros

1. As a BSG Safety Adviser you are in a home based role and you cover a patch to conduct site visits. Therefore there is no commute to an office every day. 2. You get to manage your own workload, and as long as you are getting around your site list is a reasonable time frame, usually once a month for the majority of sites, and you are providing good advice to the members and reports are to a good standard, you are left alone to get on with your job. 3. The salary may not be the highest, but it is a good salary and benefits package especially for a "Not for Profit" company. 4. The work life balance for the role is very good. 5. The role is flexible, so you can fit in those small personal tasks that you might need to do like doctors/dentist appointments, school run etc. 6. Supportive Management. 7. You will get a very supportive induction process, and be put through lots of training courses and conducting site visits with other colleagues before being let loose by yourself.

Cons

1. Depending on where you live and the size of the patch you cover, you need to take the milage that you drive into account. 2. Being a BSG Safety Adviser isn't for everyone, though you are part of a team, most days you are out by yourself doing the work by yourself, it can be a lonely and isolated role at times, which is why its not for everyone. 3. Can be a challenging role, you need to e able to be a good communicator and to be able to deal with and resolve difficult situations.
