Red Flags!!!

Pros

Ended up enjoying the hours, no overtime, met some nice coworkers, gym & awesome personal trainer on site. If you leave your Christmas lights up all year long, you will love this place! Senior management is nice at first, although slightly condescending.

Cons

Re: Sales Position 1. Three 5-star reviews by upper mgmt here all in Jan. 2019 that cited "no cons" or blame them on newbies is red flag #1. An obvious attempt to mitigate reputation damage by senior management and cover truth. 2. They are ALWAYS hiring. Turnover in my 5 mo's in the office was nearly 20%... with just 23 there. No reason for this considering 5 senior managers interviewed each one. Speaks to poor training of upper mgmt. 3. I agree with the other 1-star review about training. I've worked for a Fortune 50, a successfully acquired dot com, and several other leading brands in my 25+ year sales career. I've never experienced such a poor training model as here. Unmotivating, uninspiring and VERY clique-y. 4. Out of 23 on staff at this office, 10 are dating or married! Develops a lopsided level of respect within the organization. And just feels weird. 5. They are deceptive. I was clear in my personal goal of needing to make $100k during interview process. They said there was potential for that here. But there is (get this!) no commission structure. What they failed to tell me is that they play favorites here, giving the sweet accounts, bigger bonuses and territories to their favorite people, not based on merit or expertise. After 5 mo's, I had the nerve to simply ask about it. 6. They have an identity crisis. The website states they are a "sales company". But during my interview, owner said he wanted more relationship building (my expertise). Then they tried my hands preventing me from researching leads online to gain valuable data to help me build rapport. I was chastised by a VP in front of the entire sales dept told I would "continue to struggle" if I qualify my leads. The month I was let go mid-month, I had hit my goal already and had 12 meetings on my calendar with upcoming prospects in next 2 weeks. Reason for firing was that "our goals didn't align". 7. They hire talent & don't value it. Several others who had been there for years gave me the skinny on the high turnover. It's kinda like a cult. Clones & drones or "the goals won't align". 8. Lastly, LOTS & LOTS OF RULES!!! Employees cannot arrive early or stay late to use the gym. Breaks have to be taken at specific times like a factory job. You can't say awesome, can't say no worries, can't say transfer. No cell phones at desk. Yawning is frowned upon. They give you a list of values to expect from the company, best not to believe it. They will fire great talent in lieu if any type of change (other than moving desks and producing new product). Your opinion & expertise means nothing unless you've worked there at least a year so don't bother offering suggestions.

Pros

Beautiful office, great perks and decent pay.

Cons

High staff turnover, petty management, minimal feedback, leadership and training. With space for only 12 sales staff, over 30 sales people have been hired and fired in the past 2 years. I was interviewed by 5 senior staff before being offered a position, so am confident that most or all of the very talented people I saw hired and removed went through a similar process. At what point would the owners realize that it's not that they aren't attracting and selecting talented candidates, nor is it improperly laying out the high expectations of the position. It is a leadership failure to prepare it's candidates, to provide feedback and offer opportunity to grow and change as needed and required to develop into the expectation of the role. Your hiring gauntlet with exceptionally high turnover is proof of your own need for change!

Thank you for your transparency, and we're so sorry you had such a negative experience. You are right - great leadership should encourage and nurture, provide feedback and openly communicate. We will continually strive to improve in these areas, and seek the ongoing feedback of our employees - past and present - to measure how we're doing.

Pros

This is a totally different environment than most offices. We have benefits that match the major IT companies with a totally supportive staff. It is a steep learning curve when you begin working but the motivated are well rewarded. You will find the day goes by so quickly and at 3pm everyone is ready to shut down the computers and walk out the door. Unless they want to stay to exercise in our on-site gym with our personal trainer. We do make a difference in the lives of millions.

Cons

Some people are not open to learning more about our products and clients or they do not want to work within the style of our management so those individuals may struggle.
