More Cons than pros

Pros

-Good atmosphere and non management team members are amazing to work with. -You get 50% discount in other Cubitt house venues if there is 2 of you -Customers are generally nice

Cons

-staff treated with little to no respect - don’t expect a break and when you get one managment won’t be very happy for demanding something you’re entitled to, even after working 12 hour shifts they will ask if you NEED to have a break -staff food is generally poor and you’re lucky to get fresh food made on the day (usually left overs dated 2+ days) but management can eat whatever they want from the menu (for free) -management pick favourites and make everyone else an outcast if they feel like it -contracts don’t mean anything, they will play with your hours however they please, regardless of contract - they will threaten to dock pay/ service charge whenever they like even though you’re paid minimum wage (and service is included at customers discretion) -standby shifts that mean you cannot plan anything for the whole day or for part of the day, but are expected to come in no matter what. -sexist remarks are the norm coming from managment, lower and higher. -tips below 5£ don’t go to staff and instead go to service charge that company keeps majority of. -workers are expected to do the work of 2+ people at a time and no compensation - no benefits to work for the company barring discount on food on days off -Management expect respect but give none back, as if respect is earned via status and not personality. -Staff is not expected to work at the same level, some who do more are expected to go beyond and others who do less are expected to do less, leaving the rest to pick up the pieces.
