Pros

The production environment provides ample opportunity for a person to develop all manner of knowledge and skills related to the physical and chemical systems constituting beverage-grade brewing and distillation. There are creative, intellectual, and physical aspects to the job which grant the inquisitive, committed worker a balance of self-growth that hearkens back to the ideals of comprehensive exercise expressed in ancient Greek philosophy. It is an environment that fuels and rewards the problem-solver. The self-starter and the autodidact can flourish here.

Cons

As a small company, it suffers from the same limitations that many do: its ladder of advancement available to employees, its economic development, and its corporate longevity are only as robust and secure as the efforts, responsibility, commitment, and adaptability of its owner/executive allow it to be. This company under current ownership admits of no learning or development from either experienced advisers or the consequences of previous damaging decisions. It operates in isolation from its community (and so has pursued no strategic partnerships as cost-saving and profile-raising strategies), and it evinces neither a credible command of the basic mathematics required to keep a business solvent nor a tangible long-term plan for ensuring its survival in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
