Pros

The nightmare ends after you quit or are laid off. Do not believe the many fake "positive" reviews on here. They try to drown out the real reviews.

Cons

As a former Loan Officer at the Santa Ana CA branch, they would constantly cancel files for disclosures not being signed within 10 days just so that they can be resold by rookie LOs at their AZ branch that pays them $150 per funded loan instead of 40 or 50 bps in our contract.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience with The Money Source. We stand by our Core Values here and we do believe that People Matter. We strive to provide our employees with the tools they need to succeed and to provide our customers with Rock Solid Service. I would like to speak to your “Cons” regarding loan files. The 10 business-day window for receiving a borrower’s intent to proceed is a TRID (regulatory) requirement and it has always been the policy of The Money Source to comply. If a loan is canceled or denied and the borrower then wants to reapply, we are required to start over and obtain a new application. Part of living our Core Values and delivering Rock Solid Service requires compliance with applicable rules and regulations. I am sorry you feel that these requirements may have had a negative affect on your loan pipeline. Communication is key to us. If you would like to discuss this matter or any other concerns you may have, we would be happy to listen. Please reach out at Human Resources if you would like to set up a time to speak with our HR or Compliance Team. Thank you.

Pros

A very few people who work at this company are respectable and decent human beings. They will stick their necks out for others, which is rare to come by. Find someone you can trust and stick with them.

Cons

Where to begin? Do not work here if you want job security, they let people go at the drop of a hat (regardless of seniority) and conduct company wide layoffs semi-annually. It's sad when, after a layoff happens, a co-worker calls you and says "We survived another one!". Don't believe the "core values" hype, as People definitely DO NOT Matter. Well, unless those people are directly related to the owner of the company or are part of upper management's circle of friends. I guess those people matter. TMS values quantity over quality and will monitor your daily workload via their "KPI" system. Get as much done as quickly as possible, let other people worry about the errors later. You will, however, enjoy monthly team builds and random pizza parties. But please understand this now, you will NOT get an annual bonus around Christmas time and you will get a laughable annual raise that is less than 1%, which is entirely based off incompetent, rushed, & last minute manager reviews. TMS even laid off well over 200 employees in January and can't bare to give anyone left an annual raise. But don't worry, the unicorn mascot and bagel breakfasts should heat your house through the winter! ;D The office buildings are falling apart. Do you like the smell of black mold? That's what you'll get in Melville. Do you like holes in the ceiling that leak so much water that a full size garbage pail is needed to catch the rusty water every single day? Perfect place for your next job! Rivers of sewage pouring down the front of the building and into the parking lot? This is the place for you! Don't walk, RUN away. Unless, of course, you're friends with one of the select few people in that building who have a close relationship with the owner or one of his female minions. Finally, TMS makes their employees take bi-weekly happiness surveys. They want you to believe it's because they care about your opinion, but really it's done so they can ask people who rate their happiness at a 4 or higher (5 is max) to write a positive review on Glassdoor! Don't believe the lies!
