Pros
Not only do they make ethical clothes, but they are also fair and kind to the people who work with them. I have been working as a Photoshoot & Footage Production Manager for only a few months, but my position as a content creator/footage specialist lasted much longer. It has been an incredible journey and I feel privileged to have worked with such a hardworking and talented team, who have always been great and supportive. The biggest pro of working for The Simple Folk is that you work alongside people who share the same goal; you become passionate, share your goals and challenges, and take great satisfaction in everyone’s achievements as if they were your own.
Cons
I couldn’t think of many cons of working for The Simple Folk, except that working as a self-employed contractor might not be for everyone and, at times, it may be necessary to work long hours to ensure that your projects are delivered on time. That being said, it has been an absolute pleasure being part of the team and contributing to the growth of a brand that I admire and will always cheer for!

- fully remote working - lovely and collaborative staff below the MD/founder level
Cons
- micromanagement from MD/founder level - mandatory overtime on nights and weekends around launches (2-3 weeks prior) - criticism given harshly and publicly within slack channels and group chats - all staff do not have proper contracts or job descriptions - no room for advancement - job security not provided for maternity beyond 3 months, including in the U.K.
