Pros

Well funded and connected in the zero trust world.

Cons

No respect for employees, both in work life balance and retention. Often fire people within the first month without reason. Refuses to provide vacation or even sick time, will fire people for taking sick or vacation time. No respect for privacy, will spy on employees slack/email/Internet traffic. Run deep scans for employees on darkweb/social media. Obsessed with never saying anything bad about the company even internally. Sr management will fly into rage when questions like "are we making spyware?" are asked. Engineers are expected to be available 24/7, constant scope creep directly from sr management, often uninformed and driven by "things they find online". Very adversarial towards remote work and they have an expectation that people stay long hours in office. Some in sr leadership are malicious towards "targeted" employees, often trash talking them and gossiping behind their backs and making petty and passive aggressive comments to their faces. Their tech stack is a disaster. No design process and testing is given lip service but sr leadership refuses to walk the walk when it is perceived as slowing things down. Avoid working for this company at all costs.

Top-Down Control, Fear-Driven Culture, and Stifled Collaboration

Pros

You’ll meet a handful of genuinely talented, supportive colleagues who make the day-to-day bearable. If you survive, you’ll leave more resilient than when you arrived, though not without scars.

Cons

The CEO sets the tone for an intensely controlled and politicized environment, where executive decisions are micromanaged. There is a constant, underlying pressure on leaders to terminate employees, yet no consistent or objective process for identifying underperformance. Instead, the approach often involves planting ideas or selective “intel” with leaders over time until they’re convinced that an exit is necessary, regardless of clear, measurable results. The entire company’s operating rhythm revolves around a single, rigid Excel model, which slows execution to a crawl and discourages innovation. The workplace culture is fueled by rumor and narrative-spinning that often originates at the very top, with leadership teams rallying around these narratives to justify exits. While the company mandates a five-day in-office schedule under the banner of “collaboration,” the pervasive fear in the office has the opposite effect, stifling open communication and genuine teamwork. Leaders who recognize the need for flexibility often capitulate, as pushing back means facing a false narrative about their own performance or loyalty. Even when presented with clear data, dissenting views are dismissed in favor of the CEO’s perspective. Currently, leaders are encouraging positive Glassdoor reviews, so be aware that what you read here may be part of a carefully orchestrated image campaign rather than an unfiltered reflection of employee experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re glad to hear your recognition of the talented and supportive colleagues who make an impact every day. We respect that not every company is the right fit for everyone, and we value hearing a range of views. That said, we do want to clarify some of the points raised to ensure a more balanced understanding of life at Todyl. We do not operate in the way you’ve described. Todyl does not encourage a culture of fear or rumor, nor do we tolerate the behavior you described. Decisions around performance and organizational changes are made with care, supported by data, and always with respect for the individuals involved. Transparency remains an area we continuously work to improve, and we encourage open communication at all levels of the company. While growing companies inevitably adjust their processes and direction based on data and market changes, our focus is on scaling responsibly. Tools and frameworks evolve as we do, with the intent of creating efficiency and clarity, not stifling innovation. Glassdoor itself encourages organizations to gather reviews from across the company to provide a 360° perspective. Many employees have shared positive experiences that highlight collaboration, impact, and growth opportunities here. We welcome both positive and critical feedback as part of that broader picture. We remain committed to listening, adapting, and creating an environment where our teams feel respected, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Pros

Genuinely cannot think of any pros to working for this company. Base salary is the same or lower than any other SDR job you'll find at another tech startup. Benefits are the bare minimum.

Cons

I've worked for several startups and can confidently say this is the worst experience I've ever had. Very toxic work culture, don't let them fool you during the recruiting process. Managers sleeping with employees, CEO yelling at employees in front of the whole team, OTE is very hard to hit, doesn't allow remote/hybrid work, claims "unlimited PTO" but good luck using it! The list could go on but if you're reading this and have ANY other offers for an SDR role - save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
