Working in Tonic has been a disheartening experience, although there were some good moments and my team were good (although stretched thin), I think overall there is disregard for employee worth. The failure to recognise and nurture the potential of skilled individuals creates an environment that stifles growth. Lots of obstacles and those few good managerial employees are backed up with a lot of work constantly, while also expected to manage a team. The 'good' aspects Tonic tries to create end up nothing more than a 'front'. The workplace is rife with stress, fuelled by unrealistic expectations and an absence of genuine appreciation from the founders.
