Pros

Tonic DNA has both departments TV animation and Advertising. You may work on commercials one day and tv show another day, if your skills overlap. People in supervisor roles are friendly and very experienced. If you are willing to learn and open to getting to know everyone, you will definitely grow and find yourself working alongside friends. Your own schedule is very flexible as long as you get the work done on time.

Cons

The benefits are not much other than extra days along holidays. The studio is undergoing management reorganizing so there is a lot of inconsistency in management. Also, studio has their favorites amongst the artists and some supervisors encourage inappropriate behavior/ language in the studio.

Pros

Enthusiastic animators who love what they do. A nice sense of community

Cons

For junior animators they get paid below poverty level for what skills they have attained. And for highly talented animators they do not get paid well enough . Who's fault is this? Too much competition for the cheapest labor . Even with the quebec tax breaks, the profit margins for the studios are meek. therefore it's passed down to the animators . and crew.
