Pros

This position is great for those who are competitive. You learn a great deal about direct marketing, sales, business relations, etc. Apparently you can make great money within 6-9 months if you perform well.

Cons

You're treated as expendable. If you offer a criticism, you're regarded as not being a team player and/or complaining. You make 8.25 to travel all over Clearwater and surrounding areas to attempt to sell products at Sam's Clubs. Of course, if you sell enough, you'll make commission as well. You're told to walk all over the store to sell products which, in my opinion, is unethical. I don't know who in their right mind thinks it's okay to try to sell bed sheets to someone while they're in the produce section. Customers have even complained to managers, and rightfully so. You should only be allowed to market at your booth. Higher-ups encourage you to practically run yourself into the ground with long work hours + team meetings before (and sometimes after) your shift. Being tired, ill, or stressed is never an excuse for under-performing and I've witnessed two people have anxiety attacks over this job. If you're not prepared for "the grind", do not take this position. I tried to tough it out for as long as I could, but I had to bail for the sake of my mental health. You really are made to feel horrible about yourself if you don't perform up to their standards, and I could only take that for so long.

Pros

You learn a lot about direct marketing. Operation runs smoothly.

Cons

The 6-9 months until financial freedom that they pitch is more like the exception, not the rule. Of course, no one tells you that when you interview. Or that your Sunday nights will be spent working. Or that the $8.25 gas stipend is totally insufficient. Or that the only person in the whole office to fully complete the program is the boss, and that was in Ft. Meyers. Really, you are a dispensable cog in a wheel pushing mid-level products in big box store somewhere within a 60 mile radius from Clearwater, 30-50 hours a week at $8.25 an hour. But they do a great job dangling that "you will be rich at the end of this" carrot in front of you. This can be the right program for the right person. But ask a lot of questions before you board the ship.

Pros

You make $8.25 an hour.

Cons

You never get off training program. This business model is not made to sustain it's made to make quick money for the CEO and then they dump the company, move away and start over under a different name.
