Pros

Very relaxed, no pressure at all.

Cons

Very immature company, where no one is really accountable except for global company objectives. The business prefers to try and become "a good place to work" for a very young and immature workforce than to stop behaving like a start-up. Some people have worked there for 5-7-10 years, and they literally can do whatever they want, including getting to work after 10am and working from home several times a week, as opposed to new starters, who can't do it. Everything has a secondary school feel to it - males talking loudly about their football prowess, loud females using the heat as excuse to wear some borderline improper garments to work. Social events are considered non-avoidable and non-attendance is frowned upon - networking and socialising is taken more seriously than professional objectives. During probation, career progression is taboo and never mentioned. Each team just does its thing and there's no communication.

Pros

Central location at Old Street, with a really lovely new office space. Office dog friendly. If you're into drinking there is a very active social scene around that.

Cons

It’s odd there aren’t more reviews on here as since the Covid lockdown in March they have been haemorrhaging employees. The flexible hours aren’t really flexible, 9:30 is still the latest they’ll allow you to come in. Working from home was limited to 1 day a week, which in most teams you needed to justify as well. Their attitude towards advancement is very selective, some people (usually those close to the HR or marketing teams) are allowed to advance, but others aren’t. There is still a culture of reward, or lack of punishment, for aggressive and confrontational behaviour. There are some more longer-serving employees who are doing a terrible job of hiding their misogyny. There were a lot of ‘adults’ having temper tantrums towards their colleagues, some by individuals who have continued to rise up through the ranks. Also dont be fooled into thinking this is a young, forward thinking company as they are very old school especially when it comes to their marketing strategies. The product itself is not innovative and always playing catchup with competitors, all their energy goes on this instead of trying to come up with new developments unique to their product.

'Froced-fun' culture

Pros

Good location - right by Old Street tube station.

Cons

Staff are constantly pressured to join in 'forced fun' events after work. If you decline it doesn't go down well. A few big voices dictate the office environment. Apart from that it's so-so.
