Pros

Slightly above-average employee benefits. Decent products.

Cons

Too many acquisitions. Constant chaos. Outdated computer systems and capacity results in more work for everyone. Also, no remote access for sales employees. (You will not acquire younger talent until this changes.) Duplication of sales tracking efforts to Town Bank and to Wintrust. Arrogance and ego in senior management. Long-term employees are favored for advancement opportunities over more qualified new/acquired people. Bank wants customers to fit into their box instead of adapting to the communities they buy branches in. Big Bank trying to look like a community bank. Too much more to list here. Would not recommend as a bank or as an employer.

Cons

Many managers are unqualified, promotions are given more to those who follow the company credo the most rather than the most qualified, upper management refuses to acknowledge any problems
