Pros

Some nice collaborative engineers across the organization and free lunch on Wednesdays. They have some innovative products and are doing some interesting things. Other than that, there is not much to brag about.

Cons

If you are looking to be micromanaged, undervalued, belittled, underpaid, overworked, disregarded and work in a sexist toxic workplace you should work here! I guarantee your mental health will suffer while you work here. This company fires more people than I've ever seen. It is a revolving door and they are doing nothing to fix it. Most managers play favorites and do not have their employees backs. The majority of employees that are currently here have been here a year or less because there is no retention. Many of the teams are understaffed and overworked and the company is in denial about how being in stealth mode effects their business. There are very few female engineers and women in upper management here, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Don't expect HR to ever act fairly or have your back. They will turn on you in a heart beat. They are just the mouth piece of leadership and fire employees like everyone is disposable. I feel bad for anyone that gets hired here.

Pros

- New people have brought a lot of fresh perspective and optimism - Lots of on the job learning

Cons

- Everything is super chaotic - Culture of striving to satisfy customers in crisis mode - Not enough engineers which leads to mismatched skillsets for projects - Poor values / company culture - Teams are siloed and collaboration and cross-communication is discouraged under the guise of “stealth mode.” but there has been no communicated desire for company to emerge from stealth mode - Minimal training for employees (everything on a need-to-know basis) - Male-dominated workplace, lack of respect for female employees - Expectation that you will drop everything to satisfy last min requests late at night and over the weekends - Heavy messaging on your personal phone - Unrealistic expectations set by leadership that get passed down to individuals - CEO uses town hall meetings to blame people/teams he thinks are underperforming - Central path of approval through CEO makes it difficult to get things done - Lots of office politics - No perks

Pros

- You might pick up a few tidbits for your career since they exploit one person to do the work of three in their startup chaos. - The non-management folks I worked alongside were the only saving grace, decent human beings trapped in a corporate nightmare.

Cons

- Expect to sacrifice every nights and weekends as a standard practice. - KPI and performance review used as threat in every meeting. - The CEO peddles fantasies and phantom products, leaving the RD team in the dark until the eleventh hour, delaying projects with daily design changes. - Push out half-baked Rev A products, churning out thousands of units even if they require extensive rework. Any improvement and bug fixes are discouraged. - Biannual reorganizations shuffle clueless individuals into management roles, Disruptive shuffling of team and leaders. - A tribal, venomous work culture thrives, where helping other teams requires a permission slip from your manager. - Performance Review was manipulated to suppress bonus. They give out a smile and praise your hard work, yet manipulated review score before submitting to CEO for suppressed bonus/raise evaluation.
