Pros

nice people and free food sometimes

Cons

- high turnover, they dont respect their employees. you will never get a raise and they will make fun of you for asking for one - horrible management, if you are a woman or minority, you will never get to be manager. its a sexist boys club of old rich white men who pay themselves six figures while you can barely pay rent - they force you to go get drunk with them and if you don't you're shamed. you already have to basically be on call 24/7 so any moment you have to yourself can be cut short once they decide you need to go drink - you will never receive a penny more than what they agree to pay you in the interview, you can be here for 20 years and still make the same wage - they can and will fire you for any reason - they will make up pointless tasks for you to do just to make you busy for no reason - the "TB family" stuff is so cringe and fake - they give you useless christmas gifts that men who like fishing would use, i'd rather get a 100$ gift card so i can buy food

Pros

Definitely some cool people that work here. 401k matching is decent, pto accrual is good and health insurance is better than most.

Cons

When I originally started at Trailer Bridge, it was a great company or so it seemed. Through the years it has morphed into any other corporate company that you find across America. Employees are expected to forgo family time, vacation time in order to get the job done, yet, upper management rarely does anything. Upper management also has the audacity to ridicule their employees when asking for raises. Comments have been made about how employees need to manage their money better and if they don’t like it, to leave, all the while the pay at Trailer Bridge is incredibly low. Comments like this are extremely hurtful and not conducive of a healthy work environment. The CEO also makes millions of dollars every year and instead of spending it on raises, proceeds to spend it on parties, food trucks and things that do not help the employees pay their bills. Everyone at this company that’s been there for a while touts the were a Family slogan, but in reality, it’s all an act. I can really say is it’s not the worst job you’ll ever have, but it’s not the best. Will you be able to pay your bills? Most likely not. Will you meet some cool people? Most likely. Take a job here at your own risk.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We honestly appreciate all perspectives and I'm sorry to hear about your concerns surrounding pay and our culture. We strive to offer competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent, but we understand that different individuals may have unique expectations and experiences. We continuously evaluate our pay structure to ensure it remains fair and in line with industry standards. Amid that evaluation process, we admit we may not catch everything which is why we want to always empower our employees to speak up if they feel there's something that we've missed. Thank you again for sharing your input with us - there is always room to grow and we will remain focused on all possible areas of improvement.

Pros

There really aren’t any pros to working at trailer bridge. They have a pretty relaxed dress code which is nice and had good health insurance.

Cons

Where to begin? First let me start off by saying I was not fired and to be honest I probably would have stayed had they gave me a raise like they promise a lot of people after working there a year. But there was always some excuse as to why I couldn’t get it. I also know people who have worked there for years and keep getting denied raises. Second, do not read the good reviews from CURRENT employees. The ones who have left willingly or were fired for some BS reason are the ones who don’t have to fear losing their jobs anymore and will be honest. Unless you are upper management or kiss upper managements butt you won’t go anywhere. You’re scared to use PTO because you’re afraid of not having a job when you get back. Or they encourage you not to use it. (Not my experience this is others WHO CURRENTLY WORK THERE) You CANNOT trust anyone in upper management. Period. No matter what they say about confidentiality, IT IS A LIE. If you are not upper management, you are just a step in the CEO’s ladder to success and you are not cared about. Anything they tell you about “family oriented” is a lie.
