A horrible end to an organization that had great potential

Pros

Overwhelming commitment to the mission. Most everyone sincerely cared about serving vulnerable transplant patients through noninvasive rejection testing.

Cons

Perhaps it was doomed from the start? Launching a test for immunocompromised patients right before the COVID-19 pandemic started was horrible luck. It took a lot longer to gain traction in the marketplace, which made it difficult to ever hit the aggressive growth forecast Eurofins had for TGI. The death knell came with the Medicare reimbursement changes in April 2023 which cut the company revenue by more than half, leading to a massive layoff.

Amazing Product Lost to Poor Management

Pros

Great Team, Great Product, Solid Science & product. DEI program is fantastic.

Cons

Eurofins' management of Transplant Genomics and the Diagnostic arm of their testing is very poor. Decisions are made with the bottom line in mind and not of the product or longevity. 2 Major RIFs in 3 years. Paying 20% under going rate across the board.

Pros

The work being done is amazing, it was nice to know that the results I was putting out had an impact on patient's lives in a very direct way.

Cons

The Lenexa lab was micromanaged in a way that made progress impossible. Upper management churned and burned through two new operations managers in less than 6 months, both had great potential but were completely overwhelmed and hamstrung. Leadership is unaware of the pressures they put on those below them and are contradictory, micromanaging, and uncommunicative. There were constant battles between the sister company of Viracor and the Fremont lab (which no longer exists) You're expected to be perfect.
