You Can Do Better

Pros

There are some really great humans that work here, but they won’t stick around for long due to the working environment.

Cons

There are 22 people in leadership positions across the organization; all of them male, 18 of them white. The overall mindset within the organization is outdated and unsustainable. You are disposable to this company, do not be fooled by the fake reviews on here or LinkedIn - they are heavily incentivized.

Improving diversity is a challenge that all employers face and T1 is no different in this regard. In this respect, we have implemented a comprehensive DEI strategy that has grown incumbent diversity across the organization, while also celebrating that diversity. Furthermore, we have implemented partnerships with external vendors that represent the diversity of our community - a critical component of our DEI strategy. In terms of improving our our leadership diversity, we have made a concerted effort to attract female and minority applicants as evidenced here - extended offers to 10 females and 6 minority applicants within the past 24 months. We agree that T1 "can do better", but we have also come a long way within the past 24 months to meet the expectations of our employees and the communities that we serve. Incidentally, our employees are NOT incentivized to provide positive feedback on any forum. This is a mischaracterization.

Pros

None. I’ve never spoken about this because it seemed so unbelievable that I was worried nobody would take me seriously… but here it goes Within my first 6 months I became a top 7 carrier sales rep statistically… more than doubling my expectations in every measurable metric. In month 7-12… I was assigned to take a minimum of 5k in losses on loads that were unfathomably difficult to keep track of. I never lost money or went negative in GP despite this… I always came out positive.. I was told that upper management would appreciate my dedication to servicing our customers by foregoing my commission and social life to handle these loads… I went in for my progress meeting at 2pm one day… was told I was doing great… to keep it up.. 2 hours later I was fired for “not making enough profit”… and to add insult to injury… I was also told that I would not receive my severance pay for the alleged transgression of not being profitable enough.

Cons

-Abusive work environment. -Incentivized micromanagement Staying in office from 545am until 6-8pm daily.. although the hours in our contracts stated 7am until 4pm… I was okay with the 14 hour shifts, the complete obliteration of my social life, physical health, and happiness…. What wasn’t okay.. was the group of 8-15 other employees that used up 90 percent of these 14 hour days to look over my shoulder and scold me for things such as “i don’t like the way you have arranged your load board”. You would think that they might contribute to the workload significant enough to warrant working 84 hour weeks… Human Resources: I don’t even know what to say here. One of the managers still currently employed has a plethora of pending lawsuits against him filed by employees who’s complaints about his abuse were swept under the rug and forgotten. There basically is no HR department… so don’t be stupid enough to file a complaint. They will read it and use your information provided to figure out how to further exploit you, your fellow coworkers, and the law itself. -The execs have zero idea what is going on and genuinely do not care. In my over a year there.. I may have heard our CEO speak a total of 5 sentences… he legit just partied in Miami while his company lost its largest customers and proceeded to let go 2/3rds of the company and treated the remaining employees worse than slaves.

The reviewer had much to write, however, none of this is true. As noted in the review, this person was involuntarily separated and fundamentally, the company's decision was most likely based on their poor performance. In contrast to this review, T1's last employee engagement survey showed that employees continue to feel very good about their employment experience.

Pros

There are a few good people here who are great.

Cons

HR is going to respond by saying all of this is inaccurate. If you work here, you know it's not inaccurate. This is a company that works for one man, Jamie Teets. T1 doesn't care about anyone else but Jamie (who has an interesting antisemitic lawsuit from 2006). Someone took PTO for medical reasons and the company basically forced her into quitting after it happened. They fired over 30 people within 4 months and about 80% of them were a protected class (POC, LGBT, age). They tell us out of nowhere that we have to work longer shifts. They discourage breaks. When they fired all the employees, all the executives got promotions and raises. Only some employees can work from home. We got paid late because Jamie didn't want to pay managers their bonuses. There are people who are hiding in the closet because they're afraid to come out. This company hasn't been profiting the last two years. If you want to work here, just know that you might get laid off in the future. Also, the only positive reviews come from Jamie. A lot of us overheard HR and the past COO talk about Jamie's fake reviews but didn't do anything about it. They try to be secretive about all this, but everyone knows everything bad that they're trying to keep secret.

While the Company welcomes feedback in an effort to grow and improve, this review provides no value to T1 or prospective employees and only seeks to diminish the great work that our staff is doing. Bluntly speaking, this review is filled with vitriolic inaccuracies and lies about our culture and how we operate as an organization. Indeed, for two consecutive years now our employee engagement surveys support the view that we provide a highly engaging and supportive environment for employees to succeed. In closing, the progressive environment we are nurturing is a reflection of our CEO's personal and professional values and those of the leadership team.
