Nice people, but everything else sucks (especially the salary)
Pros
* generally nice and friendly people, no toxicity * cosy office * work-from-home (but it was during the pandemic anyway) * yearly bonuses (but later the rules changed)
Cons
* average PC hardware * tracking software * a lot of development-related bureaucracy and accountability, lots of Excel tables and reports (never seen before and after this employer) * questionable PM practices following blindly all the "agile" prescriptions * generally PM's behavior and the authoritative style of communication * very low salaries (for the IT industry) and having to write a "PhD thesis" why you would like to have an increase * bonuses and other initial agreements were changed later and not fulfilled * no chances for career growth (but it's understandable, it a small and static IT team servicing the needs of the main business), but this is shadowed and amplified by low chances/amounts of any salary raises * high rate of software engineers turnover (at least 5 during a year when the team size is also 5)
