Pros

Good for your resume when you look for a job worth keeping

Cons

Where to start... -The CEO hires his friends to replace valuable employees because he needs to surround himself with "yes" people. - If you voice a concern you are more likely to be reprimanded than have anyone solve the problem. -Mark King, CEO, tries to micromanage everyone, and seems incapable of letting others manage individual departments. This cause a lot of friction between employees and the CEO. -People are fired if they don't fit Mark's ideal person, this means if you do anything in your personal life he finds wrong i.e. Smoking/Drinking/Swearing/Music Taste/Atheist -He once even forced a Trans member of the company to leave by being hurtful and disrespectful to his transition. Reffering to the employee by his previous gender pronoun. -The CEO likes to get involved in his employees personal relationships, once he pulled two people aside and asked them if they planned on getting married since they worked their together. -Getting assigned self help books and not being payed to read them. He preached self help books like gospel and because it was in a book it must be right, and anyone else is wrong. -Forces culture in the company, and if you don't fit in, you are forced out. Feels more like a cult, and you better drink the kool-aid.

Pros

I originally liked working here. The hours were great for a work/home balance and the pay isn’t great but it’s manageable.

Cons

There’s a major lack in communication that is blamed fully on the employees instead of lack of proper management. They do not handle things in a profesional way and they do not seem to understand employee confidentiality or how to manage their employees. My biggest concern is the operations manger doesn’t communicate with the lead which makes it very difficult to do the job. They also are not very accommodating or respectful.

Hello, this is Mark, thank you for this feedback. Communication has always been a tough point for our company. The honest truth is that it likely stems from me not naturally being an excellent communicator therein not instilling excellent communication into the company. I am sorry to see that your good experience turned into a bad one. We have a lot of work to do before we become a company of great communication. If you are still with the company, I hope that you and your managers can create a better working experience in the coming months; it sounds like it's crucial to do so. If you are frustrated, be courageous, direct, and honest to your manager and do your best to find the ways that you can grow in this too. -Mark

Pros

The floor employees are generally kind, forgiving people who genuinely care.

Cons

Uncaring management who don't care about anything but the bottom line, even if the end result is running their employees into the ground for profit, sexist atmosphere, long grueling hours for barely above min wage, skilled labor with pay less than that of a McDonald's worker, pressure to do more with no upward movement and no clear idea what the goal for quality was My time here went from wonderful to abysmal in less than a three week period. During the holiday season, they pressured people into working 12 hours shifts, and we were constantly guilt-tripped if we didn't agree to work overtime. By the time I left they made us sign a contract saying we agreed to always work overtime during "busy" months with no idea what that meant. The switch in QC and floor management made everyone around me's lives unbearable to the point where half the people I talked to joked about quitting. One person said they needed surgery and another quit because breathing in nylon fumes gave them nosebleeds. One time I tried to complain to upper level staff about a product issue and was told, "sucks to suck" with no solution. The demand for product is never met and if you go fast, they only want you to go faster.

Hello, this is Mark, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear about your experience. Since we have seasonal fluctuations our reliance on our people increases with holidays. It isn’t ideal, and a bit chaotic, I agree. Your feedback isn’t going unheard, and I will always be pushing to improve as a business. Take care,
