RUN AWAY!

Pros

Centene Corp offers some decent benefits.

Cons

Senior Leadership are CLUELESS and treat people awful. Work 60-70 hrs a week, every weekend yet chaos continues. The VPs and above create chaos. Highest Execs act like they alone have all the answers - refuse to engage staff. Employee engagement is in the basement. Reluctance to hire more staff yet they keep trying to squeeze "blood from a turnip". Every issue is "URGENT" ergo, nothing is. Providers are leaving in droves, network adequacy is huge risk. Key & Senior staff are leaving on a weekly basis and they couldn't care less. The wheels are falling off Trillium/ & Health Net.

Pros

Used to be a great place to work. Was a professional environment with loyal employees.

Cons

Sold out....acquired by Centene Corp., a Fortune 500 company. Change to match the corporate model is killing what used to be a great community reputation. Now letting down members and community partners. Sad and difficult to watch.

Could be better

Pros

Flexible working hours, average medical/dental benefits, good 401k plan, free parking for home Ducks football games played at Autzen Stadium located on the University of Oregon campus

Cons

Poor management practices of overworking top performing hourly employees until they are so over loaded that one day they walk and management can't seem to understand the connection
