Tripaneer, what a joke!

Pros

- I've met nice people and made friends. - Working in the traveling industry. - Remote position.

Cons

- Very very low salary. Actually, the salary is a joke. They say they're paying based on your location (country) - due to the costs of living etc. - but the remote team members from Africa and Latin America have higher salaries (hourly rates) than Europe! - Disrespect for your work coming from management, team leader, and HR. You're just a number on a sheet and the most important thing is to produce nice statistics for them. It's quantity over quality. - Disrespect for you as a person too. They're only nice with people doing what they say as sheep. Otherwise, they treat you like you worth nothing at all and if you continue to be honest and sustain your point of view, you're being fired. - The HR department is actually a bunch of unprofessional people with no skills or talent for this kind of work. They don't give a s...t on their fellow colleagues from other departments; they only care about being obedient to their managers. - All benefits mentioned by other people were cut off since ages! Just like that. - No legal employment contracts are being offered, just an agreement where it is mentioned that you have basically no rights but a whole list of obligations and if you're committing a mistake you're gonna pay a few thousands of EUR for the damage. They say you're a freelancer that's why there's no employment contract but you're not a freelancer at all. You are an employee with a fixed working schedule, hourly rate, OKR, and you are being treated as an employee. - Nobody listens or cares about your professional opinion, especially if what you're saying is something they disagree with, no matter how pertinent this is, no matter how good this is for the business, how ethical etc etc. - They fire people on short notice, just like that. I am one of these persons and there are so so many more. You receive a call from HR, 10 minutes before the end of your shift to inform you that you have been fired and they're gonna cut your access to everything immediately. They always say that it is because of the financial issues the company is facing. With so many financial issues constantly, I'm thinking about bad management. - The management has no plans for crisis situations, no care for the employee, customer or business partners. They only care about the money and their important positions. They put a nice face in the pictures they send online and they sale a nice image but nothing nice is hiding behind that. Unfortunately. It's all a big lie and a great joke for the one who really know the truth.

Pros

Comfortable working environment. Nice colleagues aside from the the heads.

Cons

Management does not keep their promises. HR can not give the benefits indicated in the contract. They just change rules when they feel the need to do it, even without consulting the team. No preparation for crisis. The pay is really low and not worth their demands. Dictatorial management.

More Toxic than an Oil spill

Pros

1. USED TO BE surrounded by other startups in a shared workspace 2. A few hard-working and fun colleagues (all non-management of course)

Cons

The list is endless but here's the top 5: 1. Micromanagement: The Management, which is about half of the work force for some reason, is so insecure that you are asked to justify every step of every decision that you make and despite that level of micromanagement, you are responsible for their mistakes. So there is no freedom/flexibility and extreme micromanagement all because they are insecure. 2. Pettiness: Grown adults in a professional environment that are in management spend their day at work getting angry at the people in their teams (sometimes for not cancelling their gym time after work - TO WORK). They also spend a lot of their time complaining about employees that do not work 16 hours a day and have a balanced life. 3. No consistency in focus: The mission for each day is different from that previously. There is no organisation, structure or purpose apart from saving your job. The vision that is sold is a huge lie because the management doesn't believe it and the others therefore have no reason to. 4. Human Resources department: There is a human resources department of one but all departments are de facto run by that human resources department of one. The toxicity that this department of one brings to the company is unparalleled and unrivalled, literally. This department of one at one point assumed the role of the head of finance due to the CEO's propensity to micromanage and the first question that came from this NEW Head of Finance was "what are bank charges". So if you had questions about competency, you have your answer. 5. Chief Executive Officer: The CEO does not trust anyone bar the Human resource department of one, gossips a lot and loves to micromanage. What the CEO loves more is to disappear in a crisis. Some employees wondered if "the ceo was still alive" since we had not heard from this person for 6 months in the middle of a pandemic. The CEO also thinks that they are ALWAYS right, there is no room to challenge decisions or contribute your opinion/suggestion. You will be shown the door with a smile if you try to do so, as many will testify. TLDR: It's a toxic, inflexible workplace that offers no growth and is run by terrible management.
