Pros

The perfect place to work if you want to be belittled on a daily basis, have your concerns and challenges not taken seriously and be managed by every single person in a position above you even if you work on different teams.

Cons

Where to begin? Between the snide remarks from several members of the staff, antiquated expense reporting systems that they are unwilling to change because the billing person refuses to do it any other way than their way, and the busy work trying to put systems in place that no one will actually use, these are just SOME of the downsides of working at Turner PR.

Pros

You get the opportunity to work with great clients and brands

Cons

Unfortunately, this was the worst agency I ever worked for. By the time you figured out how to navigate all of the internal drama that was created by the senior staff, you were left with little time to actually do the work and service clients. Most days were spent avoiding being caught in internal traps versus doing client work. It felt a lot like Kindergarten versus a PR agency. Toxic culture, high client and employee turnover, false promises made by manipulative senior management.

Pros

- At one point Turner used to be a very positive and energetic place to work, but with all the recent turnover it's been less and less so -The office space is decent

Cons

- Leadership, especially in the NY office, is lacking to say the least. The person at the top doesn't have a good sense of really understanding how to help fun a lifestyle division. -Leadership doesn't do a great job of stepping in or speaking up to difficult clients. In turn, their is a difficult work/life balance and good work that is able to be executed as it tends to be unrealistic what the client is asking and leadership doesn't push back in a real way. -Turner is extremely understaffed and lacking in any realistic and timely growth plans for junior staff -There is a HUGE amount of turnover, even for the PR world. There have been over 20 people who have left in the past year. -There is also a lot of turnover in clients due to this turnover with staff. It is unfortunately not the stable place that it once was.
