Pros

Sadly, ump fails at any positive comments in its current state. If you go back a few years, the company had great leadership but were sadly pushed out. I would give this company zero but you require a star rating.

Cons

Parking contracts are not discussed at interview and offer. Once you get started you find out that contracts are 2 years out! You can pay 12 dollars a day for a ramp that is close or park 1/2 mile for cheaper parking. Leadership, has been turned over every year, new management has little experience leading, makes false promises, and takes credit for accomplishments made by the team but is quick to blame and point for fingers at others when things fail. Reporting to HR concerns are brushed under the table and You are left on your own to figure out to deal with a vial director. A director who does not met the minimum requirements of the job and has ruined everything since they started. No direction, blaming others for failure, lies, and never being at work- if that’s what your looking for a director to be, Good luck.

Pros

Decent pay and good hours.

Cons

Upper management is all about profit! They don't care how long you have been an employee for, they will eliminate your job if need be without understanding the importance of your role for patient care. They are broke now that Fairview has merged with Healtheast. UMMC wanted to take over FV but that didn't happen. FV is funding Healtheast now, which means UMP is going broke and they are making all sorts of cuts. I've been with the company for 4 years, and was just told by HR that my dept is being eliminated. The only way I can get my severance pay is to train the people who are replacing me for one whole month! What a slap on the face! Beware!

Burning out good employees without a care

Pros

The clinical side of the business is great. Wonderful physicians and hard working teams.

Cons

The executive admin / business assistant team is in shambles. Over half the team has left this year. Those that go above and beyond are expected to do more, while the under-performers are coddled. Hiring unqualified people, without any executive level experience, and expecting the seasoned employees to clean up their mistakes. More effort is spent by management protecting the people that never should have had this position, while burning out the experienced assistants who are giving it their all.
