A Brilliant Company to Work For

Pros

There's so many great things about working for Car Next Door - but here's some of the main ones for me: Flexibility - management are really flexible when it comes to remote working, and this allows me to enjoy a semi-nomadic lifestyle whilst benefitting from the security and sense of belonging that come from being permanently employed. Passion - employees at all levels of the company are genuinely passionate about delivering the company values of 'freeing the world of the one person one car mentality'. The company does great things - It's pretty hard to find anything bad to say about the service we offer and the impact this has on improving the planet.

Cons

If I ever decide that the time has come to move on (for career progression etc) it will be so difficult to find anywhere as good as this - for the reasons outlined above.

Coming from a larger government organisation where you are often looked at as just another number, Car Next Door make you feel valued, appreciated and go out of their way to show you that your work is noticed. The team is supportive of one another, work together to reach goals, they celebrate when a job is well done and reflect when a job could be done better. A workplace that is very aligned and driven by company values. Leaving the comfort of a job I was at for years was daunting but looking back it has been one of the best decisions I have made - being around intelligent people who are driven, passionate, kind and motivated is a really refreshing change!

Highly dynamic environment with a motivated team.

Cons

Remuneration is not as attractive and you are likely to be surrounded by colleagues who are relatively new to the workforce. But it is also what makes the vibe young and energetic.
