Pros

The only pro is that I got out of there.

Cons

The leadership team in Australia have no clue what they are doing and continue to build a toxic work culture. Many APAC leaders share a history and close relationships from previous roles, often prioritizing personal interests over team success. Employees are scapegoated when targets aren't met and asked to leave, creating a toxic environment fueled by favoritism, backstabbing and greed. The US leadership team remains uninvolved and disconnected with the APAC team and individuals, allowing inappropriate behavior to go unchecked. Despite outward appearances of a "supportive environment" the reality is quite different – team unity is merely a facade. Everyone is unhappy there, but people stay because they cannot afford to leave. It's all too sad.

Pros

Your team members and salary

Cons

- Managers don't care if you're a human, they pretend you are until you don't make money and then you're only a number until you are removed. - Lack of females within the Melbourne office. - Long hours, sometimes until 9 - 11pm at night. - Unless you get 1 big sale, you will not hit your quarterly target and if you don't you will be put on a pip without notice. - If you are put on a pip there is no chance you will actually survive it. - Lack of documentation, nor do Managers follow the rules anyways. Everyone is out to win only for themselves and they do the wrong thing to get what they want most likely getting away with it. - Rules are different for everyone, don't even try to take a holiday, they won't approve it. - Managers have very obvious favourites that get treated how everyone should. - There is ZERO trust in Managers, they are not transparent or actually work in the favour of the teams. - The salary is not worth it, there are no career opportunities across AU.

Pros

Great salary and benefits, excellent product/platform and smart, helpful colleagues.

Cons

Micromanagement, inflexible Quotas, lack of work life balance due to the pressure to meet unobtainable KPI's. If you miss your sales quota for 1 quarter you will be performance managed with no consideration given to the fact that you exceeded your quota in the preceding quarters or the current market downturn. Unfortunately extremely talented AE's have been pushed out or are looking to leave as the culture is now toxic.
