Pros

My peers and people I managed, love to you all and I will continue to support you.

Cons

Ultra PRO is not a healthy work environment. It’s extremely toxic and it’s part of the culture, meaning it won’t change. I was asked to change my management and communication style, I would not. I’ve been trained by the best in the business. My VP put it on me to fire 4 people and write up another. I then received my own write up. My $20K bonus was withheld due to so called poor performance when I was working 16 hours a day holding the ship together asking for help in every meeting. What do you expect to happen to performance when you fire more than half of the employees? Work is never appreciated. When expressing I was beyond capacity I was told to listen to podcasts about work life balance. There’s no leadership, it’s bullying, threats, and discrimination.

Pros

There are some talented and good people at Ultra Pro. Just not in management though. There are some good ideas of products but most are just rip offs from small companies.

Cons

You get to work in the office with other disgruntled colleagues who all have the same views on the work they are given. At the end of the day you have no creativity with your work and management will always have their way when it comes to your work. Work here if you want to lose your touch in your career, Its very hard to advance your career and monetary compensation for this company. Management will give you compensation for additional work about AFTER youve completed it to their liking. There are lots of condescending comments and teamwork has no meaning here. Bonuses and raises are based on favoritism and not at all based on the work and value you provide. There are lots of concerns about the integrity of management here. Additionally there are some policies on keeping the office doors, windows, and computer cameras always on to ensure management has good eyes and ears on you.

Pros

-Occasional luncheons -Geek atmosphere -TV in the dining hall

Cons

-No raise, low bonuses, no retirement benefits; there is a $20k gap between temporary workers and employees and $50k gap between employees and managers -High turnovers, managers will lay off workers who appear more exceptional than they are -Higher ups are bad influence to employees; makes everyone blames each other; no proper leadership -You are encouraged to work beyond eight hours with no overtime pay for salaried employees
